Terms and conditions of sale



For your extra peace of mind all purchases are covered by our 14 day exchange or refund promise. If you change your mind for whatever reason return the item to us, as new, with the original receipt and packaging and we will be pleased to offer you an exchange or immediate refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Ski Suitability

With 20 years of instructing experience we are confident we will help you select the right type and size of ski. However if you are not happy with our recommendation you may return the skis to us and we will exchange them for a different model from our range. Note we reserve the right to make a rental charge of 30% of the skis value for each week of use. After more than 1 weeks use skis cannot be returned under this guarantee.  Note this guarantee covers the exchange of skis only and and does not include your bindings, which will be refitted to any new ski selected where this is possible. The suitability guarantee is only valid for the season in which the skis are purchased and is valid until the end of March in that season

Clothing and Glove Care


Damage to gloves and clothing from sharp ski and snowboard edges is not covered by warranty. With gloves, especially leather, dry away from direct heat and use a leather protection cream to prolong useful life. When washing clothing use a cool wash at max 30°C.  Always follow manufacturers recommendations and never use strong detergents or fabric conditioner, and never tumble dry ski garments as these can cause irreparable damage.


Ski Breakage


If a ski breaks or bends within the first year of purchase we will replace or repair it at no cost. We offer this guarantee in addition to your statutory rights. The following conditions apply:
•    The damaged ski must be returned to the ski-webshop in Tamworth, Staffordshire.
•    The sales receipt must be produced.
•    Negligence is excluded from the guarantee and the ski’s condition and the state of repair will be taken into consideration.
•    Edge and base damage are considered wear and tear and repair is chargeable.
•    This guarantee covers repair or replacement only, not refunds.
•    Damage caused from dry slope use will not be covered under this guarantee. Repairs will be charged and are not always possible.

Skis purchases on line


When bindings are fitted to skis without the ski boot (ie from a ‘boot sole length’), then for safety and compatibility reasons you must have these checked by a professional before use, as absolutely no liability can be accepted without our having your ski boot to check the settings are correct
Should you prefer we can send the skis and bindings out to you unmounted, and will discount the cost by £7.50 in these cases.
Once bindings have been mounted to your new skis they can only be refunded if faulty, or exchanged as per our guarantee above.
Specific conditions relating to Orion skis
Although we are the UK Agents for Orion Skis, only skis purchased from us direct are covered by the above warranty.  Should you have purchased Orion skis through one of the retailers who sell Orion skis, then they must be returned via that outlet.

Delivery


We use insured, traceable delivery services from Royal Mail and other couriers. 48 hour standard delivery is from the date of dispatch not the date of ordering, and is subject to stock.  Scottish Highlands and Islands and Northern Ireland may incur a delivery surcharge, and can take a little longer.
Payment for goods will be taken up to 24 hours prior to despatching the goods.
Deliveries are made between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, with parcels requiring a signature. If there is normally no one at home, a card will be left to re-arrange delivery. Delivery times over the busy Christmas period could be extended by a day or two. Acceptance of your order commences when your order is despatched. At this point the purchase contract starts and you will be charged for the goods.

Delivery charge for garments is £7.50.  Orders for garments above £125 qualify for free delivery
All Delivery charge for skis to UK mainland = £15.00

European destinations.
